Instructions

A warming blend good for any chronic pain.

I call this Ayurveda mets Western Herbalism because half the ingredients (castor oil, ginger, cinnamon, and turmeric) I learned to use via Ayurveda for musculo-skeletal injuries (I used the powdered herbs in castor oil and made a poultice), the other half of the ingredients I learned to use via grass roots home remedies western herbalism for tendon and ligament injuries (trauma oil, helichrysum, and lemongrass).  I have combined the two in this formula for  a warming, immune stimulating, healing process.

Ginger and Turmeric for joint and muscle pain due to their anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.  Cinnamon is very warming and also analgesic.  Warmth is good for chronic injuries as it will bring blood flow to the area to aid in healing.

I chose castor oil as one of the carries as its fatty acid properties of ricinoleic acid are analgesic and anti-inflammatory.  It is also a good decongestant of the lymph, and increases white blood cell count.  It is used commonly in Ayurvedic treatments.

Trauma oil is a highly anti-inflammatory combination of arnica, calendula, and St. John’s Wort; the arnica in it is good for arthritis and injuries, calendula is good for tissue repair and inflammation, and St. John’s Wort is good for inflammation, strains, and slow healing wounds.

Helichrysum is a healing oil that improves microcirculation and is regenerative as well.  Lemongrass is useful for strengthening connective tissue.

Cost:  1 oz in an eye dropper bottle = $21.50
